Congress nominee for Puri seat Uma Ballav attacked, sustains injuries

Uma Ballav Rath, the Congress nominee for Puri assembly seat, was seriously injured in an assault by unidentified assailants while canvassing near the bus stand. Rath sustained head and body injuries and filed a complaint at Kumbharpada police station. He suspected the attack may be linked to his candidature but refrained from blaming anyone, urging police investigation.
